Mr. Emmanuel Chika is a United Kingdom based dual British and Nigerian business director and professional business administrator with background in sales, marketing, client relations, new start-up business planning and management, design and implementation of business development strategy and financial management. Mr Adeyemi Shoroye has over 25 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry. His career has progressed through many years in the oil and gas exploration industry. Straight out of youth service, he started his career in seismic exploration with Geosource (Petty-Ray Geophysical) as a seismologist which later metamorphosed into Halliburton Geophysical Services. In 1994 Halliburton divested their geophysical arm to Western Atlas and he continued his career with Western Geophysical (the geophysical segment of Western Atlas) as a seismic engineer processing seismic data in onshore and deep water terrains in the Niger Delta environment. In 2001, Western Geophysical merged with Geco-Prakla, the geophysical services unit of Schlumberger, to form WesternGeco. He continued his career with Schlumberger as a senior seismic engineer in seismic processing and was promoted to technical sales manager Nigeria and the Gulf of Guinea countries covering Benin, Ghana, Cote D’Ivoire, Senegal, Liberia, Guinea and Equatorial Guinea. In 2006 He was part of the Schlumberger team that initiated and started the local content Joint Venture (JV) Seismic Processing Alliance with Integrated Data Services Limited IDSL (Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, exploration division). Under his watch as the technical sales manager, within a year of formation, the JV had more than 60% overall seismic processing market share in Nigeria for 3 years running 2007-2010 generating profitable revenue for alliance and providing state-of-the-art processing technology for IDSL. In 2011, he joined the Sahara Group upstream business, Asharami Energy Ltd, as a senior geophysicist and was key to the successful drilling of three onshore wells, one exploration and two appraisals with back to back drilling program, doubling field reserves to more than 50 MBO in Oki while achieving the company’s first oil production test from three zones of 10,000 bbl/day In February 2020, he left Asharami Energy Ltd as a principal geophysicist to form his own company, Geomax Energy Resources Ltd where he consults for oil and gas companies in subsurface studies. He has a Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc) in Geology from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and MBA (General) from the University of South Wales, UK. He has authored and coauthored papers in seismic exploration at the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). He is a member of the Nigerian Association Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) and the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE).
